7. A normal day with CHOICE Cambodia ...

Well, my days starts every day at 6 am with 30 minutes of yoga exercises, 10 minutes of meditation and finally, 40 minutes of badminton play with Srey Tai and Lida. It may surprise you, but exercising in the morning helps you wake up better without even needing coffee. Then, we go on separate ways for our daily routine such as washing our clothes with hands washing, cleaning our rooms and watering the plants and vegetables for Lida.
After the daily routine finished, I get ready for my working day. Decent and simple clothes to better integrate into the NGO environment, a jacket if I have to go outside, a hat to protect me from the sun, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and I'm ready for the day.
My days are different every day, if we have humanitarian missions planned, my days are divided in two parts, with the humanitarian missions in the morning, then the daily work in the afternoon. And if I have to work on a project that requires my skills in tourism, e-marketing or communication, I sometimes stay working on the computer for a few days.
However, friends, it is a big mistake to think that my work in the office is boring… because you see, I enjoy a daily calm environment, a breathtaking landscape, and more, I work from a Hammack in front of the river. UNIQUE, isn't it? Humanitarian missions are very diverse. We have rice distributions for some Khmer families, drinking water distributions for our 4 very poor villages, medical care provided to people who cannot afford it, or even the teaching to very poor children with CHOICE CAMBODIA English School.
Sometimes, with my tutor, or with friends, we took 2 or 3 hours in our day to visit beautiful traditional pagodas. Don't worry I am planning a nice post on the subject very soon.
I usually work until 5:30 in the evening, but sometimes, we get together with teachers from CHOICE School for badminton games parties. It's really fun and I think I found myself a hidden talent, who would have believed it… Then at night, I clean some clothes and yes again, I shower, then I have a good dinner in my room with my dear Netflix.
