The International Tourism Management Bachelor degree is a one-year course at CY Cergy-Paris University, located in Cergy-Pontoise, in the Val d'Oise department (95).

The subjects are as follows:

·       Communication and Negotiation in foreign languages (LV1 / LV2)

·       E-tourism and internet strategies·       Geopolitics of tourism

·       Histories, cultures and heritages of different continents and countries

​

·       Intercultural management

·       International management (Yield management and pricing strategies, digital strategy)

​

·     Languages: 2 “basic” foreign languages (English and Spanish or German or Italian) and a third language (German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese,  Chinese, Portuguese). A specific course in French is offered to foreign students.

·       Legal environment for tourism

·       Marketing and business tourism

·       Professional conferences given by professionals

·       Risk management

 ·       Sustainable tourism

·       Tutored project: for my part, I chose the Geocaching tutored project

·       Tourism production, preparation for TOEIC or IT

·       Tourism management

·       Tourism engineering and knowledge of the territory

·       5-month internship in a non-French-speaking country
​

Selection process:

​

- To apply you must have a Bac + 2 since it is a Bac + 3 diploma

​

- You will need to download an application file on the CY Cergy Paris University website or on the E-candidate platform. I personally applied via the e-candidate platform, and all the procedures went perfectly.

​

- The file will be studied and the candidate will be informed of his admission or not. For students in French Polynesia or New Caledonia, who applied for this bachelor degree, connect to Metropolitan France hours to get your results.

- Having a good knowledge of English is essential because many professional courses and conferences are held in English. You also need to master a second foreign language and have the curiosity and motivation to learn a third  one.​

My testimony following this training:

​

While studying a Tourism BTS in New Caledonia, I wanted to continue my studies in the field of international tourism. My Tourism studies introduced me to tourism, however, I wanted to become a professional on this field. And thus be able to participate in the tourism development of New Caledonia on an international scale.

​

This training was perfect for my project, so I did not hesitate for a second to cross 22,000 km to get the skills and competencies given by this course. I have never regretted my choice because this training allowed me to assimilate several lessons for international tourism, to acquire new knowledge on it, to improve my skills, and finally to put them into practice during my 5-month internship in a foreign country.

Finally, I would like to end by thanking Mr. CHERIF and Mrs. MICHAUD, for having followed, supported and taught me during this year 2020-2021. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have a place in this great formation. I learned a lot thanks to you, I was able to make incredible friends, and live very "unique" experiences!
