Travel advices
I would like to inform you, that the decision I made to go in Asia, in the midst of the global health crisis was not a decision taken impulsively. I went to Cambodia after careful consideration, and I made this decision fully aware of covid 19.

However, if you feel ready to make the same choice as I did, get ready, because the exams are easier compared to the administrative procedures that await you.

You will have to carry out administrative procedures for the University of CY Cergy Paris, but also for the Cambodian government. Don't worry, take a deep breath, some chocolate and go!

Regarding the administrative procedures requested by the CY Cergy Paris University, scrupulously follow the instructions below:
STEP 1: Complete the UCP id form with the information you will need to complete the internship agreement sheet on the application.

STEP 2: Enter the information requested on Pstage (http://pstage.u-cergy.fr) from "my UCP".

STEP 3: Send the internship summary sheet by email to the referent teacher (see the contacts below) for validation of the assignments AND to your educational manager: Ms. HUBERSON (sophie.huberson@snelac.com) and Ms. MICHAUD ( vanessa.michaud@cyu.fr)

STEP 4: The referent teacher will inform you by email of the decision.
If the opinion is favorable, he will send the form to the International Relations department for validation of the destination.

STEP 5: Signature of the internship agreements by the student and by the company.
STEP 6: Submission of the internship file to the pedagogical secretariat with the copies of the obligatory administrative documents:

- Internship Agreement in 3 copies;
- Student card
- Certificate of affiliation to social security;
- Certificate of civil liability insurance for the INTERNSHIP and PRIVATE LIFE which covers the entire duration of the internship,
- Repatriation insurance certificate which covers the entire duration of the internship;
- Annex H (pre-filled by the RI students) checked and signed by the student
STEP 7: Signature of the internship agreements by the university, and sending by the secretariat of 1 copy to the company, and 1 other to the student by post, thanks to the envelopes.

STEP 8: Sending to the Primary Health Insurance Fund of a copy of:
- the internship agreement signed by the 3 parties
- certificate of affiliation to social security
STEP 9: Apply for an international mobility grant. You will thus have financial assistance given at 80% once you arrive in the internship, and the other 20% when you return to France.

This is not a neglected aid, you can receive up to 2000 USD dollars in scholarship, 80% of which is given at once to your bank account.

For more information, contact Madame LOUIMA (everline.louima@cyu.fr), I assure you that she will accompany you throughout your process.
Be very careful because an incomplete file is radically refused ...

Now, here are the steps asks by the Cambodian government. Once again, think carefully before making the decision to travel to Cambodia during covid.
STEP 1: Obtain an E Visa (business) at the Cambodian Embassy in Paris. The documents to be provided are as follows:

- Original passport valid 6 months after the date of departure from Cambodia, accompanied by a copy of the passport on an A4 sheet
- Two internship mobility letters for Cambodia, in English, one from your internship tutor, and another from the university
- A duly completed visa application form
- A recent identity photo pasted on the form
- € 35 in cash for an E visa (business) + € 5 processing fee
The deadline for obtaining your visa is 48 hours. One last tip and perhaps one of the most important one, the visa issued by the Cambodian Embassy in Paris is only valid for one month, once you're in Cambodia. I advise you to extend it quickly as soon as you arrive in Cambodia. Otherwise, you will have to pay 10 dollars USD per day for your stay.

Step 2: Submit your visa application at the Cambodian Embassy in Paris, with all the requested documents.
STEP 3: A non-covid 19 medical certificate, issued by the health authorities approved by the government of the country of origin, within 72 hours before your departure, will be requested at the international airports of Charles de Gaul and Phnom Penh.

A personal advice, try by all means to obtain your certificate 24 hours before your departure, to avoid finding yourself waiting for it even 5 minutes before your flight ... like what happened to me. It is nerve-racking!
STEP 4: Take out covid 19 insurance with Forte insurance, proving a minimum medical coverage of $ 50,000 USD. Only take the Forte insurance insurance, because only it is recognized in Cambodia.

Step 5: This will hurt you a lot because Cambodia asks you a deposit of $ 2,000 USD in cash. This deposit will be used to pay for your two weeks of quarantine in a hotel, your transport from the airport to the hotel, your food and your covid tests 72 hours before the end of your quarantine.
They call it a deposit but don't think you'll get back your $ 2000 in full. I received $ 180 of the 2000 that I had given for the deposit. But you know what? It's better than nothing.

You can withdraw your money 10 days after your check out of the hotel, at any ABA Bank.

The advice I gave you represent a half of instruction given by the university and the Cambodian government, and another half of my own experience.
The administrative procedures may seem difficult and long, but you will have no regrets when you arrive in Cambodia.
Now, good luck to everyone. Hope I was able to help you the best.
